She rose to fame as the straight-talking Bianca Jackson on EastEnders – and as she gets ready to enter the pressure cooker environment of the Celebrity Big Brother house, insiders tell Closer that Patsy Palmer will bring the drama.
Revealing that the actress-turned-DJ, 52, has a fiery side, our insider shares, ‘She’s not someone who will hold back if she feels wronged or doesn’t like someone. Patsy’s incredibly feisty and isn’t afraid to speak her mind if she’s being riled up. She’s not one to shy away from a row and will likely be initiating some fiery discussions, because she doesn’t care what people think – which may be an endearing quality but could certainly terrify some of her housemates!’
This isn’t the first time Patsy – who relocated to Malibu in 2014 with her husband, Richard Merkell, and their children, Fenton, 24, Emilia, 23, and Bertie, 14 – has dipped her toes into reality TV.
When appearing on a comic relief version of The Celebrity Apprentice back in 2009, Patsy – also mum to son Charley, 33, from a previous relationship – gave fans a firsthand glimpse of her feisty side. The show featured a series of spats, with Patsy apparently accusing business woman Michelle Mone of being a ‘stuck-up cow’, and a table was flipped over during another spat with Carol Vorderman, with Patsy later describing the experience as being ‘just like living in the Big Brother house!’ She added, ‘Tempers flared because we were just tired and in a race to get things done.’
And our insider adds that Patsy certainly won’t be a wallflower on CBB. They reveal, ‘She’s good at making friends and has a great personality, so she will be a popular housemate – but there’s another side to her. When you cross her or betray her in any way, there’s no coming back.’
