Miranda Hart and her mother Diana Hart-Dyke have reportedly been approached to host the Great British Bake Off.
If they accept the offer, the pair will replace Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins when the show moves from the BBC to Channel 4.
Comediennes Mel and Sue stepped down as the presenters of the programme when it was announced it would be shown on a different channel.
Judge Mary Berry also decided to leave the series, leaving only Paul Hollywood as the last remaining star.
A senior Channel 4 source told RadioTimes.com that there is a “comedically large list of possibilities” which includes names from the “Channel 4 talent family”, as well as others not normally associated with the channel.
Miranda’s sitcom, Miranda, aired on BBC Two from November 2009 before moving to BBC One from 2012 to 2015.
However, the star previously insisted she had heard nothing about presenting GBBO during an appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show, saying she had “no idea, I haven’t been told anything”.
