Geordie Shore is fast approaching its 10th anniversary and Marnie Simpson has spilled the tea on getting her first pay cheque.
After there were reports that some TOWIE stars received as little as £100 a day for filming, it quickly became clear that reality stars actually make the majority of their money from sponsored content and brand deals.
However Marnie Simpson has spoken out and revealed that she earned quite a lot after filming on rival show Geordie Shore.
"I still never forget the very first feeling I had when I walked into a shop and I was able to buy what I wanted," she admitted.
"I will never get over that feeling ever."
The 28-year-old went on to reveal exactly how much she earned after filming for the MTV show.
"When I got my first pay cheque from Geordie Shore which was £4000, you and me [her mum] were nudging each other under the table as we were in shock that it was mine."
Geordie fans might be surprised to learn that Marnie and her family "didn't have that much money" when she was growing up.
"[My mum] worked three jobs. But now obviously things have changed for the better," she revealed on her podcast Marnie's Home Truths.

Marns and TOWIE's Ricky Rayment got together when Ricky was fresh out of his relationship with Jess Wright after meeting at an awards ceremony in January 2015. Ricky then flew out to Majorca in June the same year, where Marnie and the rest of the G Shore crew were filming, to PROPOSE. Cue VERY awkward pause while Marnie considered his proposal, with basically the rest of the reality TV world weighing in.

Despite Ricky insisting he and Marnie were "meant to be together", it was fellow Geordie Shore co-star Aaron Chalmers we had really high hopes for. Marnie and Aaron on'd-and-off'd for three years while they were both on the show, before he eventually professed his love for her in 2016.

HOW COULD YOU, MARNIE? After Aaron's heartfelt declaration, Marnie entered the 2016 Celebrity Big Brother house where she quickly fell for the charms of another TOWIE lad, Lewis Bloor. The new couple got hot and heavy on screen, with Marnie claiming to have had "the most romantic shower of my life" (be warned: link contains penis), but things quickly turned sour on the outside world when Lewis cheated on her, twice.

In 2017, Marnie signed up to a one-off MTV series Single AF, alongside such single pringles as drag star Courtney Act and John and/or Edward, of The X Factor fame. It was there she met and fell in love with Stereo Kicks' Casey Johnson. The rest, they say, is history.
Marnie's mum Sharon then added, "I think because we never really had it. I used to literally give you my last pound.
"I think you thought to yourself if I ever do get money by God I am going to spend every penny of it."

After finding fame on Geordie Shore, Marnie went on Celebrity Big Brother, Ex on the Beach and she's currently on Geordie OG's.
It's safe to say that the reality star has done incredibly well for herself in both her public and personal life because she got engaged to her partner Casey Johnson, months after they welcomed Rox into the world.
Marnie recently opened up to Closer magazine and admitted that theproposal came after "the hardest year" of her life where she battled with a crippling bladder condition.
