"Wait, so the camera man isn’t running back and forth?"

Being the OG Made in Chelsea bad boy launched Spencer Matthew’s career. He might have dropped his wiley ways, becoming a married, devoted dad-of-three, but he certainly hasn’t got any loyalties to the show that made him.

In the latest episode of his podcast withwife Vogue Williams, originally titled Spencer and Vogue, she read out a letter from a listener.

She said, “I've loved Spencer from his acting days on MIC but love you just as much Vogue."

The letter could have served as just a sweet comment from a fawning fan, but something about the word “acting” seemed to remind Spencer about the contrived nature of reality TV, and he couldn’t help making a jibe.

Spencer replied, “another person who's noticed that MIC is scripted nonsense."

To be fair, Spencer isn’t the only person calling out the show for being fake this month, as someone on TikTok noticed an editing fail.

Recording the show live on a laptop screen, the user records Julius Cowdrey as he argues with Digby Edgley, and the text reads “Julius’ hair is wet.” The screen then reads “wait for it,” and is followed by a clip of Julius with perfect, dry hair. The TikToker couldn’t help but quip, “blow dry,” with two laughing emojis.

One user wrote, “wait so the camera man isn’t running back and forth?”

Another commented, “It’s almost as if it’s scripted 😳😳😳”

It appears Julius may have gone for a little swim between takes and ruined his perfectly quaffed hair do, then it got edited and moved around.

Just how did the production not notice the blunder? It’s up there with the time Game of Thrones left in that infamous Starbucks cup in the supposed Seven Kingdoms.
