Another day, another iconic TOWIE cast member turning their back on the upcoming ten-year reunion.
Despite the anniversary special being literally all anyone has been able to talk about for MONTHS (if not years) it’s shaping up to be a little disappointing with loads of the biggest names turning it down.
Now it’s been confirmed that new mum Lucy Mecklenburgh, who was best known for her rocky relationship with Mario Falcone on the show, won’t be featuring.
“Lucy loves the show and has a real soft spot for it but unfortunately she’s too busy to fit in filming for the reunion,” a source said.
“She has so much going on at the moment.
“Between being a new parent and her business, there is barely any time she could put aside to be on the show.”

She dated Lewis Bloor when she first joined the show but things took a turn and they had a bitter split. Nicole has since dated Aaron Chalmers (after meeting on Ex on the Beach) and Sam Mucklow. Unfortunately Sam quit the show alongside his now pregnant girlfriend Shelby Tribble (who was Nicole's friend). Anyways, we're excited to see what Nicole gets up to on the next series...

Let's be honest, it wouldn't be right to have a TOWIE reunion with Joey Essex. He's one of the show's most iconic cast members of all time so we're excited AF to see that he's been filming with BFF James 'Diags' Bennewith.

A lot has changed for Danielle since she left TOWIE. She's now engaged to her childhood sweetheart Tommy Edney and recently gave birth to their daughter Orla Mae. She's been spotted filming for the new series with Chloe Sims so we can't wait to see what they get up to.

Fran Parman has been spotted on set for TOWIE and we cannot wait to see her back with the Essex gang. The last time we saw her was with Diags on Eating With My Ex and they parted ways after discovering they were on different pages.

Mark Wright's mum Carol is making a comeback to TOWIE (we're still hoping her son does).

Jess was unlucky in love on TOWIE (remember when she dated Ricky Rayment?) but things have changed and she's newly engaged.

Lucy became a mum for the first time earlier this year, welcoming baby Roman with her fiancé, Coronation Street actor Ryan Thomas, in March – so it makes sense that she has other priorities right now.
Speaking to The Sun, the source continued, “She tried to make it work but when everything was taken into account, something had to give. It’s sad but not really surprising.”

And Mark Wright isn’t the only original bloke to have snubbed the show that made him famous either, with Sugar Hut heir Kirk Norcross throwing some MAJOR shade.
“I realise working up a ladder clearing drains and jet-washing driveways isn’t as glamorous as being on the telly,” he told the same publication back in February.
“But I wouldn’t swap things for the world. I am so glad. I am away from that life now. I’m earning a living through hard work. I love getting my pay packet after finishing a job.”
