Love Island 2022 runner-up Luca Bish has remained fairly under Closer's radar since splitting with Gemma Owen last November. The Islander and his luminescent gnashers have popped up at the odd party and on the odd bizarre podcast here and there, but generally, he's been keeping a low profile since his very public split from Michael Owen's daughter.
So, what better way to nab some press attention in 2023 by revealing that you have a MEGA-FAMOUS long lost family member with the most casual Instagram post imaginable?
Islanders being related to A-listers is a bit of staple these days - Dani Dyer is the daughter of Danny Dyer, Gemma is the daughter of Michael Owen, Sophie Piper is the little sister of Rochelle Humes, and new 2023 bombshell Claudia Fogarty whose dad is King of the Jungle and famous motorcycle racer Carl Fogarty - but no one has kept an A-list family relation this quiet for THIS long EVER.
We're not going to lie, this has broken us a bit here at Closer HQ/made us question EVERYTHING, so bear with us as you read this.
On Wednesday 8 February, Luca attended a private viewing of Addicted To Love, a joint exhibition from Sara Pope and Eve De Haans, at Quantus Gallery in Shoreditch with his mum. Cute.
Celebrities in attendance were going HARD on the socials at this bash, including none other EastEnders legend turned Dancing on Ice star, Patsy Palmer, who was DJ'ing at the event like the multi-talented icon she is.
At one point during the evening, Luca took to his Instagram story to show off his DJ skills under the watchful of "auntie" Patsy, of course. "AUNTIE".
Luca shared two videos of himself taking to the DJ decks while "auntie" Patsy mum-danced around him and kept a close eye. He captioned one of the posts, "Auntie @patsypalmerofficial showing me the ropes 🎧🎶."
Add that to the fact that Luca's mum and Patsy were clearly having a blast together at the bash last night and we have SO many questions. Are Luca's mum and Patsy related (SISTERS?)? Is Luca Patsy's nephew? AND WHY ARE WE ONLY LEARNING ABOUT THIS NOW? This is a reality telly crossover we NEVER saw coming and we're having trouble breathing.
Unfortunately, we get the vibe that Luca was only joking when he called Patsy 'auntie', but still, the pair clearly know each other well and we need all the deets right now (i.e. a DNA test). Please.
This isn't the first time that Luca and Patsy have been spotted in public together either as he was also in the audience for the premiere episode of Dancing On Ice and shared a number of snaps with Patsy and her children on social media.
Luca/potentially Patsy Palmer's secret nephew was on season eight of Love Island and was crowned runner up alongside his then girlfriend Gemma Owen in the final. Gemma and Luca split in November 2022, but it doesn't matter because by February 2023 he was related to Patsy Palmer which is far more iconic. Sorry, Gem.
