Love Island contestants strut around the infinity pool in tiny bikinis and swimming trunks, but they are rarely ever spotted swimming in the pool which makes zero sense to us because it looks perfect for cannonballing.
As the show is filmed out in Mallorca, temperatures often soar but the sweltering stars don't seem to be making any use of the villas pool and viewers have had the same thought.
Recently dumped Love Island 2023 contestant George Fensom was answering some fan questions on his TikTok and one follower demanded the truth about the swimming pool.
Asking, "Would you ever actually go in the pool?" George answered with a more detailed then probably necessary response.
"You can go in the pool pretty much whenever you want," he explained. "The only time they might get funny about it is if you're about to do a challenge."
George also added, "Or if it starts raining because it's just health and safety."
Health and safety? But the pool is made of water and rain is, erm, also water but who are we to quiz the Love Island producers?
"If you go in you can't wear your mic, basically, that's the only issue" he continued. "There was quite a few times we were in there but it just doesn't really get shown."
Previous Islanders have also chatted about the pool, Love Island 2016 bombshell, Kady McDermott spoke to OK! Online about the issues, "We didn’t actually get in the pool a lot because it’s so cold. Because we went into the villa at the end of May and it’s just about getting in to summer, the pool hasn’t been heated or anything."
The stunning Love Island villa is situated high up in the hills, on the outskirts of a small town called Sant Llorenç des Cardassar.
As well as being a luxury villa with all the amenities, the Love Island villa boasts the biggest private pool in the Balearics.

Police officer Mike insisted, "it should be illegal to be as sexy as me," and after watching him in the villa for just a few days, we were inclined to agree. At the time of writing he seems genuinely into Leanne, and his sexy dulcet tones have us a little hot under the collar.

Rochelle Humes' little sister Sophie had the boys fighting over her as soon as she stepped foot in the villa, which made a nice change from the usual turn of events.
