Lana holds a glass in Love Island

Love Island 2023 is coming to an end, as in the finale is NEXT WEEK. As in no more Will Young and his questionable fashion choices, no more Terrace Tom and no more game-playing chat from Ron Hall.

Sad times all around but, as always, the good thing about the finish line drawing close is all the dumped Islanders that are thrown back into the real world.

In a rather dramatic dumping last week, Olivia Hawkins and Maxwell Samuda found themselves heading home on a plane back from South Africa.

Maxwell and Olivia

Luckily for us, Liv and Max were guests on the most recent episode of Closer's Love Island Secrets and while they spilled some serious tea about the show they also offered up some random details and facts about their villa mates - starting with Lana Jenkins and her obsession with soggy sandwiches.

Let us offer you some more info but BE WARNED: this will either make you starving or feeling sick. There is no in-between.

Lana loves a snack

“Lana loved a Supernoodle sandwich," Olivia explained.

“And she makes them every night,” her pal continued.

EVERY NIGHT? We hope she changes up the flavours. We imagine a rota of combinations perhaps Southern Fried Chicken Sundays, Mexican Chicken Mondays, Thai Sweet Chilli Tuesdays...The more we think about, the more appealing it is.

“I remember we would have to gather around the fire pit, a serious moment and you’d hear over the Voice of God, ‘Lana put down your noodle sandwich,’ and she would be chomping away,” Olivia told us as she laughed at her BFF.

“The Supernoodles sandwiches - they do bang though,” Maxwell agreed.

“They actually did,” Olivia nodded, “but soggy bread though.”

Ew. Soggy bread is the worst. With that one comment from Olivia we are back to absolutely never wanting to try a Supernoodle sandwich.

“You never know until you try,” Olivia laughed, and Maxwell was apparently of the exact mindset as he wasn't sold on the snack prior to trying it.

“I got in there and they were talking about these noodle sandwiches and I thought 'utter sh*te'."

But Maxwell soon changed his tune and joined Lana as part of the Supernoodle sandwich fan club. We think we will stick to our noodles in a bowl thank you very much.
