They may have only been in the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! jungle for a few days, but viewers are already starting to choose their favourite contestants, and currently topping the list are This Morning’s Josie Gibson and reality star Sam Thompson.
And now former Made In Chelsea star Cheska Hull admits that she thinks her pals Sam, 31, and Josie, 38, will become firm friends while they’re both in the jungle.
Speaking to Closer at Lidl’s Chateaux Noir launch, where people wine taste in the dark, Cheska, 38, tells us, “Josie and Sam will definitely get on – he’s such a funny character and she loves a laugh. They’ll be naughty and mischievous together.
“She also already works with Rochelle [Humes] on This Morning so she’ll have common ground with Marvin too. I reckon they’ll help each other out.”
Cheska is also sure that Sam’s sister Louise Thompson, 33 – who welcomed son Leo in 2021 with partner Ryan Libbey – will be his biggest fan.
“Louise will be supporting him,” she says. “They’re very close, they’re like twins. She’s his closest confidante and always looks out for him. They even live next door to each other.”
Sam’s girlfriend of four years, Love Island’s Zara McDermott, has also been showing her support, sharing a sweet message to Instagram when he left for Australia.
The pair split briefly in November 2020 when Zara, 26, cheated on Sam while appearing on The X Factor: Celebrity, but they soon reunited and seem stronger than ever. They even avoided the Strictly curse earlier this year when Zara appeared on the show.
However, Cheska – who appeared on Made In Chelsea from 2011-2014 – admits that she thinks Sam will be the heartthrob of this year’s I’m A Celeb.
She explains, “He’s a real cheeky chappy and a genuinely nice guy and as a result, girls always fall for him. I wouldn’t be surprised if any of the other contestants fell under his spell. He’ll definitely be breaking hearts in the jungle.”
Also leaving her friends and family behind while she’s in Australia, Josie has opened up about how much she’s going to miss her son Reggie, five – who she shares with her ex-boyfriend Terry.
Now Cheska adds, “She’s extremely family orientated and is completely focused on doing well for Reggie. She wants to prove that she can do everything in order to set a good example for him. Her son’s her world. She’s known as being the girl next door but she’s braver than people realise! She’ll be eating bugs and doing all the scary challenges with real grit.”
As a result, Cheska confesses that she thinks the former Big Brother winner could make it all the way to the final.
“Josie will probably win, she says, “The public will love her.”
