Holly Willoughby almost made a massive blunder during the opening episode of the new series of Dancing On Ice after nearly swearing at Jason Gardiner.
The television presenter admitted to the near slip-up as she chatted about the contest on This Morning today.
Referring to an on-air spat Holly had with judge Jason, co-host Philip Schofield said: “I had to leap to your defence with Jason, nobody’s gonna snap at my girl.”
Holly responded: “Yeah! Naughty Jason. I couldn’t think of anything clean to say. I was going to say something and I was like, no, I can’t say that…
“And then I was going to gesture and I was like, nope, can’t do that,” before telling Phillip: “So you did really well, you saved all of us then!”
Holly and Jason had a disagreement on Sunday night when he gave his thoughts on Hollyoaks actress Stephanie Waring’s performance with her professional skater partner Sylvain Longchambon.
Intending to soften his criticism, Holly reminded Jason that it was the first week of the show, but he hit back: “They’ve got to improve. That’s what I’m giving her information for.”
Despite the audience gasping in shock at Jason’s comments, the judges insisted the apparent fall-out was just a bit of fun.
Dancing On Ice returned to screens last night after a four year hiatus when coaches Torvill and Dean announced they would be leaving the show in 2014.
In September last year ITV announced the show would be returning with Torvill and Dean conforming they would be head judge.
