After Candice's storming win on The Great British Bake Off last night, we were all feeling warm and fuzzy as the contestents reunited one more time, for the final.

Viewers were also teary as it really hit home that it was the last time the competition would air on the BBC - with speculation rife about who would take over from Mary Berry and Mel and Sue when the show moves to Channel 4.

This morning on Good Morning Britain presenter Ben Shepherd was asked how he felt about his odds on becoming part of the new Bake Off team, with bookies giving him odds of 16/1 to take over from Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins. "Am I in the running?" He asked, seemingly surprised. Channel 4 favourite Richard Ayoade has also been rumoured to be in talks to be a part of the series when it moves channels next year.

Meanwhile, grieving viewers can take comfort in the fact that there IS more Bake Off to come this Christmas, as the BBC Twitter account reminded everyone last night.

The message says: "Deck the tent with bakes of holly!

Paul, Mary, Mel and Sue will return to BBC One for two special new episodes of #GBBO this Christmas."

So at least we know it's not quite all over yet!

Meanwhile, the whole group has loved being reunited and are clearly going to be spending more time together in the future, as Val is off to Aiya Napa and Candice and Jane are off on a Baking Road Trip together.

Many fans urged the BBC to follow Val on her voyage of discovery to the Spanish Island, immediately pleading for a spin-off show:

We'd watch that - or if Selasi decides to do a road rip on his motorbike we'd prett much follow him anywhere!
