The Great British Bake Off changed forever the day we found out it was moving from its home on the BBC to a new spot over at Channel 4.
Along with its change of residence, news broke that three out of the four hosts were also waving the show goodbye, meaning no more Mary Berry, Sue Perkins and Mel Giedroyc.
Paul Hollywood is the only original host that will make the move over to Channel 4, and although we were all very sad to say goodbye to the other three, we are very excited to see what the new hosts will bring to the nations favourite baking show.
While Noel Fielding, Prue Leith and Sandi Toksvig are filling the gaps, we haven’t been given much information about how different the show will be in terms of structure and style…
Until now.
While on the BBC, viewers were able to watch the show advert-free due to the broadcaster’s licensing terms.
However, it’s a different story when it comes to its place on Channel 4.
As a result of commercial breaks Now Broadcast have confirmed that the new show will run for 75 minutes, giving us 15 extra minutes to make sure we still get the same amount of delicious baking goodness.
So far they’ve all been very tight-lipped about what changes we can expect, so for now we’ll just have to wait and see…
