And although the audience and the critics praised the relationship between the two sisters, people now want a more romantic love story for Elsa (Idina Menzel).

As we’re sure you’re well aware, Disney ARE making a sequel to the blockbuster success.

And many people are now asking for Elsa to be given a girlfriend.

The film stars Jonathan Groff as Kristoff, who is an advocate for the LGBTQ community and openly gay himself, and Oaken is supposedly a gay character.

And many people from the LGBTQ community have also interpreted the film’s main song Let It Go as the journey of coming out.

When you think of Disney princess films, one thing that will definitely happen is the princess will fall in love… with a guy.

Whether he’s a prince, a warrior or even a beggar, the princess always falls in love with a man.

So Twitter has started the #GiveElsaAGirlfriend campaign to encourage Disney to improve LGBTQ representation in its movies, by making the first gay princess.

We hope that Disney takes this idea into consideration if they’re going to give Elsa a love interest in the second instalment!

Do you think giving Elsa a girlfriend would be good?
