Brian McFadden could be forced to forfeit his place on this year’s Dancing On Ice after a horror fall left him with a particularly nasty injury.
The singer was in training with skating partner Alex Murphy when he suffered a big fall, partially dislocating his shoulder and damaging his rotator cuff in the process.
Brian was supposed to take to the ice tonight (13 January) for his first competitive performance but the injury has meant he has been unable to rehearse, leaving his place in the competition ‘in jeopardy’.
A Dancing On Ice spokesperson revealed yesterday that Brian was unable to rehearse on that day and that his condition would be assessed today ahead of tonight’s live show.
Brian’s partner Alex Murphy, who skated in last year’s show with Kem Cetinay, previously revealed that the Westlife singer had been left “anxious” by a number of falls in training.

This year’s Dancing On Ice kicked off last weekend with performances from the likes of Corrie actress Jane Danson, Gemma Collins and Strictly’s James Jordan, who achieved the highest first week score in the show’s history.
Dan Whiston, the show’s creative director, has promised that the former Strictly pro will be bringing the drama to the ice.
“James has said to me if Jason [Gardiner] is personal with him he will definitely be biting back, so I would imagine some fireworks there,” he told The Sun Online.
“Obviously Jason has got an opinion and he isn’t afraid of saying it, and James has an opinion and he isn’t scared either.
“It could clash."
