The TOWIE star recently raised eyebrows among her friends when it was rumoured that Charles Drury – the father of her daughter Larose – had moved back in with her almost three years after their toxic split.
And Lauren Goodger, 38, has now shocked fans after revealing that she wouldn’t rule out having a third child with Charles, 28, who is also the father of her daughter Lorena, who tragically died minutes after being born in July 2022.
Speaking during a recent TikTok live, the Lauren confirmed that she and Charles were not an item but had been spending time together and co-parenting three-year-old Larose.
She told fans, ‘No, I’m not back with Charlie. We’re just co-parenting. He wants to be with me. We just hang out, he stays here, we do stuff, we go out. We used to do this before, but we haven’t for a long time.’
However, when asked whether she would have another child with the builder – who famously dated Katie Price in 2019 – she replied, ‘Probably’.
Insiders now say that friends and family are concerned Lauren will end up brokenhearted once again if the pair get back together.
A source tells Closer, ‘Lauren’s telling friends that Charles has changed and that they’re planning for the future together, including maybe even another baby. It’s moving fast, but that’s how she likes it.
‘Lauren’s saying she wants to give Charles a proper second chance but those closest to her are genuinely panicked. They saw what happened last time and are scared history will repeat itself if he breaks her heart all over again.
'She’s always dreamt of having another child, and that’s why she’s been so loose-lipped lately. She wants that dream family so badly, she’s willing to risk it all even if it means giving those that hurt her a second chance.’
Lauren started dating Charles in 2020 and, after a whirlwind romance, announced she was pregnant with Larose in January 2021. Just three months after Larose’s birth, Lauren announced they were expecting Lorena – but she tragically passed away shortly after being born with her umbilical cord wrapped around her neck.
On the day of Lorena’s funeral, Charles was accused of attacking Lauren and was later charged with assault and engaging in controlling behaviour. Those charges – which he denied – have since been dropped, and the pair split soon after.
It was another relationship breakdown in the public eye for Lauren, who split from ex-fiancé Mark Wright in 2012.
While Mark has recently welcomed baby Palma with wife of almost 10 years Michelle Keegan, Lauren has been single since splitting from Charles, saying she’s been focusing on motherhood and her return to TOWIE last year.
Our source says, ‘Lauren’s been really emotional lately, especially after seeing Michelle and Mark so settled and family-focused. She’s always wanted that for herself, and it’s really hit home. Lauren’s convinced this is her and Charles’ fresh start.
‘She’s always wanted a sibling for Larose, and now she’s acting as if it’s just a matter of time. It’s classic Lauren – when she loves, she loves hard. Seeing Mark and Michelle’s picture-perfect life has made her crave stability again.
‘But everyone is worried that Lauren’s rushing into something and they’re not sure that she’s thought this through properly.
‘Charles coming back into her life is bringing up a lot of anxiety for those around her. Her family are worried and there have already been some disagreements over Charles, and they wish she’d see how she could be making a big mistake.’
Since becoming famous, Lauren has overhauled her image by having a boob job, nose job, Brazilian butt lift and liposuction. She also had botched fillers removed from her face in 2019.
Speaking about surgery on her TikTok live, Lauren said, ‘I am definitely having my boobs out this year, a reduction and no implants. And the bum… Since my two pregnancies, it’s huge. I really don’t like it. It’s the worst surgery I ever did. The bum doesn’t look right.
‘I do have baby Botox, I have it like twice a year. I don’t have it very often. And I don’t have fillers. I haven’t had fillers for three years.'
And our source says, ‘Lauren has confessed to pals that Mark having a baby has helped her finally close the chapter. It was like another door closing that she didn’t know needed to be closed.
‘She is looking forward to her own future and she wants a big change, hence her wanting to get a lot of her surgery reversed, going down a more natural path, and staying true to herself.
‘Lauren’s hoping that once she has achieved a more natural look, she can align with some new beauty brands and also develop new products herself.
‘She sees herself as a survivor in so many ways and feels as though she’s got so much more to achieve on her own terms.'
