We have to admit that we struggled to keep up with TOWIE star James Lock’s relationship with Love Island legend Megan Barton-Hanson. One minute they were on, then they were off and then they were back on again.
However, it seems that they’re off for good as Lockie has confirmed that he’s dating someone new – and they’re a reality star too.
The Essex boy hasn’t appeared on the latest series of TOWIE because he was off filming a new series of The Challenge in America and it was there that he met his new flame.
Speaking about his experience on The Challenge, Lockie revealed, “I met someone on there. I can't say too much, but I aways seem to meet someone, and have a love interest.
“She's American. I’d loved my time on The Challenge – it’s sports oriented, and it’s more me."
It’s still early days and Lockie admitted that he’s not quite ready to drop the L-bomb just yet. He added, “Love is a strong word – I don’t throw it around easily.
“She’s from Miami. She’s another fiery one. I’m crazy enough, and I pick all these crazy women – it’s not good mix, is it?"
Lockie also opened up about how tough it was to have a long-distance relationship. He told The Sun, “It’s hard at the minute. I’m going to go to the States very soon, and obviously we're still talking.
“I'll pick things up when I go back over there, but at the minute it's difficult because if you're having a long-distance relationship, it's always hard – having any relationship is hard.
“We’re both in the same sort of industry, and it’s tough, but we're still in contact, and we'll both pick things back up when I'm over there. I'm going to LA towards the end of the year – January [time]."
Prior to dating his mystery new flame and his brief romance with Megan, Lockie was in on/off relationships with his TOWIE co-stars Yazmin Oukhellou and Danielle Armstrong.
