We can't imagine having to work alongside an ex is particularly enjoyable, but that seems to be the case for countless Strictly Come Dancing professionals, including Kai Widdrington and Nadiya Bychkova.
The dancers dated for two years before ending their romance last year with rumours of an ongoing feud, in fact, during the last series of Strictly, it was claimed that the former couple 'refused to be near each other.'
But that was nearly a year ago now and we are hoping it's water under the bridge, especially seeing as Kai has gone and hard launched a new romance.
Taking to Instagram, Kai posted a cute AF grid post that featured him and new girlfriend Chloe Wells having a little giggle, with fans and friends alike giving the photo some major love.
The likes of Love Island and Strictly girlie Tasha Ghouri and his fellow dancer Lauren Oakley both congratulating Kai on the news.
Tasha wrote, 'Sooo happy for you!!!🕺🕺🕺', with Lauren adding, 'Cuties! ❤️.'
We're not sure if Nadiya and Kai's failed romance qualifies as falling under the Strictly Curse as it feels a tad lacklustre compared to others. Who could forget the scandal that was Katya Jones kissing comedian Seann Walsh despite the fact she was married to Neil Jones and Sean was with Rebecca Humphries?
Or Flavia Cacace and Vincent Simone, who used to be both professional dancer partners as well as lovers before they split? Awks.
It hasn't been confirmed yet which Strictly professionals will be back for this year's series of the entertainment show but both Kai and Nadiya were featured throughout the 2024 series.
Nadiya was partnered with Olympian Tom Dean and eliminated first whereas Kai was featured as a background dancer and did not have a celeb partner.
