Strictly is back on our screens, signifying the countdown to Christmas is well and truly on, and one of the professional dancers hitting headlines this year is Jowita Przystal.
The Polish-born dancer, 30, joined Strictly back in 2021, winning her first season with wildlife cameraman and presenter Hamza Yassin. Now partnered up with TOWIE lothario Pete Wicks, fans have already began shipping the couple after their hot and heavy week one Paso Doble.
In fact, the duo seem such a perfect match that fans are already wondering whether there could be romance on the cards…
It came after Pete gushed about Jowita on his podcast, Staying Relevant. Talking to co-host Sam Thompson, the former reality star said, ‘Jowita is just – I could not have got a better partner.
'I can’t sit and and go "She’s my life" – we don’t know each other that well but what I do know is that she makes me feel good and that is really important and hopefully I make her feel good.'
And insiders previously told Closer that a potential spark between the two may leave Jowita heartbroken. They said, 'Pete is having so much fun on Strictly and he's getting on so well with Jowita, there's a lot of flirting going on.
'But friends who know Pete know he's a bit of a ladies’ man and they're worried he'll break her heart. He's not interested in committing to anyone at the moment.'
To be fair, every year there's rumours surrounding the Strictly couples and we reckon that's because of the Strictly Curse... but whether Jowita is dating anyone at the mo, it’s not an easy answer.
While she was linked to Strictly assistant choreographer Arduino Bertoncello last year, with the pair being spotted together in July, it’s not been confirmed if they're actually dating.
And despite fans seeing sparks between Hamza and Jowita, any romance rumours were quickly shut down. At the time, the dancer was in a long term relationship with her professional dance partner Michael Danilczuk.
Following Jowita’s 2022 Strictly win, and a shock split from Michael, rumours swirled that she was dating her former co-star Giovanni Pernice – who left the show earlier this year after complaints were raised against him.
The couple reportedly dated for a few months in early 2023, before calling it quits in May and blaming it on their hectic work schedules.
Jowita has previously sparked rumours with former England rugby player Danny Cipriani after they were paired together for the Strictly 2023 Christmas special.
