Like every year, we’re sure Simon Cowell, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, Mel B and Louis Walsh were praying they would get the category they wanted.

But it has been reported that while Cheryl, 31, is delighted with hers Simon isn’t so thrilled.

While Cheryl got the coveted Girls category, Simon was given the Over-25s. The former Girls Aloud star has made no secret of the fact she wanted the girls this year, so we’re not surprised she’s over the moon.

With the exception of Olly Murs, no previous Over-25 contestant has gone on to have major success so we can see why Simon, 54, would be annoyed.

Spice Girl Mel, 39, got the boys, which left 61-year-old Louis with the groups.

A source told the Daily Star: “Everyone knows [Simon’s] not happy. The Over-25s are stronger this year than previous years but it is still the category none of the judges wanted.”

As always, the judges will be whisking their acts off to glamorous locations for the third round of auditions.

Cheryl is taking her girls to Nice, Mel is off to Mexico with the boys, Louis and the groups are heading for Bermuda while Simon and his Over-25s will got to America.
