The Weakest Link is returning to our TV screens - along with Anne Robinson

For most of us, noughties BBC2 TV show The Weakest Link was a part of our everyday lives.

It was on at the perfect time to sit down and watch whilst you're having your tea, bringing forth raucous laughter at some of the more stupid answers from contestants.

Sadly, like most TV shows, The Weakest Link had it's day in the sun, and was taken off air five years ago.

But that could all be about to change with news that the Queen of Mean herself, Anne Robinson, is reportedly making a return to the show this year!

Admittedly, it's only for a Children In Need special in November so far, but there are whispers that it could be coming back full time - and on a Saturday evening slot, no less.

A source told The Sun: "The Weakest Link was one of the most exciting and original quizzes in television history, and left a huge void when it came off air."

They added of the show, which ran from 2000 to 2012: "Nothing has really replaced it so the prospect of its return is really exciting."

They also revealed that a new format could be introduced with an all-star celeb line-up taking to those podiums, instead of your average Joe public.

WELL. This is all too exciting for a Wednesday morning.
