If one of your biggest life regrets is not getting the chance to appear on The Crystal Maze, then we have some good news for you.

Because everyone's favourite TV game show/ fantasy assualt course is coming back.

And when we say back, we mean for a full 20 hour-long episodes!

EXCITING! WE KNOW!

And that's not where the incredible news stops. Because Channel 4 have announced that super-geek and all-round nice guy Richard Ayoade (of IT Crowd fame) will be the new host.

Yes, he's no Richard O'Brien (but SERIOUSLY, why won't he come back?), but we reckon he's a pretty great stand-in.

The show - which originally aired from 1990 - 1995 - returned for a one-off special last October for Stand Up For Cancer. Presented by Stephen Merchant, it was watched by an incredible 4.3 million viewers.

James Dillon, who designed the original show, is creating a brand new set for this one. Based in Bristol, the 30,000 sq ft set will feature new versions of the show’s Aztec, industrial, future, and medieval zones.

And best of all - you, yes YOU, can apply to go on the show.

Best. News. Ever.
