Have you moved on from the demise of Bake Off as we knew it yet? No, us neither.
BUT your souls may be soothed just a little with the news that our favourite presenting duo (after Ant & Dec, of course) will be reunited again on our screens - Mel & Sue are back!
HALLELUJAH!
ITV are launching a brand new show called The Nightly Show. It will be on every weeknight at 10pm - the current slot for the ITV News At Ten, which is now having to be moved as a result. Awkward...
Each week will see a different presenter hosting for the five days, kicking off with David Walliams who said he was "thrilled to be the first host". The 30-minute show will "oversee a high tempo mixture of topical monologue, studio games, celebrity guests, experts and VT's".
Sounds pretty good to us!
The show will be recorded "as live" at 6pm every day before being aired on the channel at 10pm.
It's not yet clear when Mel & Sue's week will be, but rest assured we will keep you updated as and when the news comes in. We can't wait to see these two back together, albeit on something other than The Great British Bake Off. Sob.
Gordon Ramsay has also been confirmed to guest host a week of the show. He said: "We're reaching audiences on every level with this one."
In more Gordon news, he's coming back with his own show this year: Culinary Genius. According to ITV, it's "an entirely original format mixing food with compelling gameshow and cooking elements." Running for four weeks, each episode will feature nine amateur chefs competing to take home a cash prize and will star a different guest professional chef each week - the first being Gordon. Of course.
