The former TOWIE star, 27, made the announcement last night during his radio show, following weeks of speculation that he would be signing up.

He said: “Doing Strictly is going to be so completely different from anything I’ve done before. I’m the type of guy who likes too bust out some moves at a party but I’m certainly not a natural dancer.
“All of my friends would tell you that – they call me ‘Marky no-moves’!”
Despite that, Mark said he is looking forward to taking part in the BBC One dancing competition – even if it does mean dressing up in sequins.

He continued: “I’m genuinely petrified about dancing on national telly but Strictly is such an amazing show to be a part of and I can’t wait to get stuck in and give it my all!
“I know the only move in my locker is a caterpillar, and I know that I’m gonna look funny in sequins… but I do like to try hard and I do like to crack new challenges.”

Mark is the sixth celebrity to confirm they are taking part. He joins The Saturdays’ singer Frankie Bridge, presenter Alison Hammond, rugby star Thom Evans, Andy Murray’s mum Judy and Simon Webbe from Blue.
The series returns in September, where nine other celebrities will join them as they compete in the weekly dance-offs.
