The 38-year-old former Apprentice candidate is believed to have been offered a place in the famous house before, but this time she and the producers have come to an agreement.

Her fee is allegedly more than the £400,000 offered to Kellie Maloney for the last series of the show.

A source told the Mirror: "Undoubtedly she will clash with some of the other housemates and generate loads of publicity for the show.

"She has been approached previously, but it looks like a deal has been reached this time."

Surprisingly the news was met with positive reactions from many on Twitter, with one user writing: "I've been waiting for this for so long!! Please be true."

Another Katie fan wrote: "PLEASE I BEG", while someone else added: "oh please that would make my life complete."
