The 38-year-old social commentator's comments came after a flight from Southend to Malaga was delayed, leading to 10 passengers being removed.

KATIE HOPKINS: 'IF YOUR CHILD HAS NITS, IT'S THE MUM'S FAULT'

After concluding that these people must have been overweight, Katie took to Twitter to give her thoughts.

Linking the story, Katie tweeted: "This EasyJet plane was too full with fatties to take off. How many times do I have to say it? Weigh in at check in."

Katie's comments were met by some backlash from users, with one replying: "Why on earth would you want to subject people to that kind of humiliation?"

Another blasted: "Oh do shut the f*** up and read the pilots comments re weather conditions. Idiot [sic]."

But, as usual, Katie was undeterred. She greeted her followers this morning, throwing in a sly dig at overweight people.

She wrote: "Good morning good people of Britain. And to my fat friends – how are we doing? Continuing to live in denial? Or deciding to get a grip ?"

After recently gaining three-and-a-half stone to prove her point that being overweight means a person is lazy, Katie is now trying to shift it.

Her attempts will be documented on a TV show, set to be aired next year.
