We have given it some thought and we wouldn’t want to be a Walford local.

At least one person gets brutally murdered every three months, no wedding/birth has ever had a happy ending and the one gorgeous man on The Square (HI MAX BRANNNG) is plotting to take over the square and kill Jane.

However, if the blood, gory and Max's revenge plot doesn't put you off, you can now BUY the real-life house that inspired EastEnders.

The four-bedroom house has emerged on the market and is expected to sell for a staggering 1.2 million.

The inside of the house hasn’t been renovated and still looks the same as it would have, when the show started in 1985.

The BBC writers were said to be inspired by the property on Fassett Square, in east Hackney and CORR, it's easy to see the resemblance!

Simon Taylor, of Purplebricks, who are selling the property, said: "First and foremost it's a fantastic piece of London property.

"It's in what is now a very affluent area, but back in the 80s when Eastenders was created, it perhaps wasn't the most desirable area and was a little rough round the edges.

"Back then I'd guess the house would be worth somewhere in the region of £100,000 which shows just a how high the value is in London property these days.

"You can definitely see some similarities between Fassett square and Albert square but there's no Queen Vic and you're not going to bump into Peggy Mitchell when you walk down the street!

The best of both worlds!
