As the pair spend a blissful day together could a reconciliation be on the cards?
Are you keen to see first-loves, Luke and Mandy back together? Well the signs seem good next week when the pair meet up to spend a day with their daughter, Ella.
Everything seems to be going swimmingly as they hook up in Chester to take their little girl out for some family time.
Ella is delighted to have her mum and dad together but it’s a bittersweet experience as she later has to wave goodbye and go back with the social worker.
Meanwhile, with Ella gone, the ex-lovers decide not to let the rest of the day go to waste and set out for a stroll by the river.
As they chat, it’s clear there’s still a lot of love between them and they both seem happier than they have in a long while. However Mandy can’t help having reservations, especially about Luke’s drinking. Earlier on when she asks him to do a home breathalyser test he fails the test!
“Of course Mandy loves Luke and she wants to help him, but his drinking is a big problem because Ella is her priority. She had to provide a safe environment for her daughter”, says Sarah Jayne Dunn who plays the troubled mum.
However as the pair continue their riverside meander, and just as Mandy thinks alcoholic Luke is on an even keel, he does something else to make her worry when he suddenly does a runner!
“Mandy doesn’t know what’s going when he disappears. It’s a perfect day up to that point and she isn’t sure if she’s said something wrong!”, says Sarah Jayne.
What exactly has happened to make Luke bolt? Is it something Mandy’s done or has a ghost from his past come back to haunt him?
