Hollyoaks has just announced the arrival of another new cast member - Haiesha Mistry - who plays teen Yasmine.

It was just earlier this week that Hollyoaks announced a MAJOR new signing - 90s heart-throb Adam Rickett - and now the soap has announced another new cast member.

Yasmine - who will be played by actress Haiesha Mistry - is set to cause all sorts of trouble for the residents of Hollyoaks.

According to rumours, she's set to ruffle Peri's feathers by posting messages about The Lomax clan online. Obviously Peri doesn't let this slide though, and fights fire with fire by playing Yasmine at her own game!

Haiesha’s acting career has mostly been on stage including: Climate of Fear, Mr and Mrs Khan, Michael Rosen's Bear Hunt Chocolate Cake and Bad Things Interactive Experience. She also featured in the short film; Crossed Wires. Her role as Yasmine will be her first TV credit.

Speaking about her TV debut, Haiesha said, “I'm so excited to be joining Hollyoaks as this is my first television credit. I'm looking forward to portraying my new character Yasmine (or Yas to her mates) as she is loud and flamboyant. She swaggers through school acting like the coolest of the cool kids – but it’s all just bravado.

"I also love working alongside side the amazing cast and crew at Hollyoaks.”

Haiesha will first appear on screens at the beginning of April, and we can't wait!
