Hollyoaks: Mitchell Deveraux prepares to come out to his family

The week begins with Mitchell sneaking out the flat to meet Scott but he's caught by Walter Deveraux, Lisa Loveday and Martine Deveraux who reveal they're going on a 'Deveraux Christmas Day Out'.

When Mitchell tells them he can't go because he's meeting his 'girlfriend' Sabrina, they tell him to invite her too. Later Lisa and Martine bump into Scott and tell him that Mitchell is bringing a plus one on their day out – he's left feeling hopeful.

Later Scott is fed up of being in a hidden relationship which prompts Mitchell to show him just how much he really means to him. The pair then head to the Christmas markets and finally enjoy being a proper couple.

But when they bump into Azim Maalik, Mitchell quickly friend zones Scott… He then promises Scott that he'll finally tell his family the truth about them.Mitchell takes Martine for breakfast and prepares to tell her about his relationship with Scott… He's later left jealous when he spots Azim and Scott hugging.

Meanwhile Azim tries to explain to Scott how difficult it is for Mitchell to turn his back on his upbringing. Later he decides to help his pal out by signing Scott up to help Walter with the food bank.

Making it easier for Scott to get an insight into the Mitchell family. Mitchell is stunned when he arrives home and sees Scott and Walter together.

Maxine Minniver is over the moon when Walter invites her to his festive sermon after it dawns on her that the rest of the village have shunned her.

Over to the McQueen household while Mercedes thinks about the shooting, a montage shows different outcomes of Liam, Diane and Hutchinson all holding the gun as they prepare to shoot…

Mercedes is shocked when Bobby slams the door behind her and they continue to be at odds when she refuses to let him visit Sylver in prison for the family Christmas party.

He then tells his mum that he hates her, so she decides it's time for him to see the 'real' Sylver… Later, another montage shows Breda and Grace Black with the gun that shot Mercedes.

In the present, Sylver leaves Mercedes a voicemail declaring his love for her and telling her to retract her statement. Feeling vulnerable without her hubby and then hearing what Bobby thinks, she makes a huge decision.

At the end of the week, Mercedes worries that she has no one to keep her safe. She turns to Liam because she knows she'll have fun with him and he won't judge her.

As the pair meet up at The Dog, Mercedes confesses that she did love Liam and maybe still does… Then a montage shows Liam, Grace, Sylver and James with the gun on the night she was shot – but who's the guilty culprit?

Jack Osborne wants to treat Breda to a fancy holiday but she's too preoccupied with her next mission – what is she up to now?

Elsewhere Scott tries to encourage Diane to move on from her estranged husband Tony – who is locked in the pig farm – but she admits she doesn't want a fling. After thinking about what she does want, she left surprised…

Liam doesn't take the recruitment process for his and James' new business venture serious and instead decides to have some fun with the applicants...

Liam and James decides that Mercedes should be their first client for their protection racquet. However James refuses to get involved when Liam suggests they smash up The Dog to scare Mercy.

Romeo and Juliet Quinn spot Sid Sumners running away from Price Slice after shop lifting. Will anyone step in and help the troubled teenager?

Brody Hudson is feeling jumpy after sleeping with Liberty Savage. Sienna wants Liberty to take a pregnancy test after being 'implanted'.

However she's left disappointed when Liberty says she's not ready to take the rest. A reluctant Sienna agrees to wait until she is.

While Sienna is buzzing about the future, Liberty and Brody's guilt continues to increase… Brody believes the sooner Liberty takes a pregnancy test the sooner they'll know what they're dealing with.
