**WARNING: THIS POST CONTAINS HOLLYOAKS SPOILERS! **
Hollyoaks viewers were left aghast when the whole Osborne family just vanished into thin air earlier this month.
Cindy Cunningham found the house utterly deserted with food still on the table, dinner still cooking on the hob and a family photograph smashed to smithereens on the floor.
Where have they gone? Viewers already know that Jack Osborne is harbouring a sinister secret about Billy who spent decades locked up seemingly as a result of Jack’s actions – but will that be the reason for their disappearance?
Thankfully, the folk at Hollyoaks are planning a very special ‘flashback’ episode (that will air in 2017) that will explain the disappearance in complete depth.
It will be told in flashbacks that will piece events leading up to the disappearance together but not without some unexpected twists thrown in the mix!
Executive producer Brian Kirkwood told Digital Spy:
‘Because Christmas falls on a weekend this year, we have our normal half-hour episodes. The Christmas Day episodes fall across two half-hours on two consecutive days.
‘But we have got a very special hour coming up at New Year, which focuses on the Osbornes, the reveal of Jack’s secret and some very special flashbacks.’
After the incredibly important consent storyline episode and the carnage that the Halloween episodes caused in Chester we’re expecting huge things from Hollyoaks as this explosive year comes to an end.
