## Emmerdale actress Gillian Kearney spoke on This Morning ahead of her character Emma Barton's possible demise in tonight's episode - and it's gonna be a shocker!

Gillian, 45, has starred in the soap for the past couple of years, starting her :a[Emmerdale]{href='http://lifestyle.one/tags/emmerdale/' target='_blank' rel='noopener noreferrer'} career in 2015 as Emma Barton.

She was introduced as the wife and mother of existing characters James, Pete, Ross and Finn Barton, and they had mentioned her on the show before she arrived in the Dales A LOT - so we were expecting quite a character!

And whilst pretty much every single Emmerdale fan might hate her at the moment, Gillian revealed earlier today on This Morning that she actually had a bit of a soft spot for the psycho she's been playing for the past two years.

She said: "I just try to think of her as a normal woman. I do feel sorry for her because she never gets away with anything."

Viewers were stunned and heartbroken after Emma's son Finn flatlined in hospital after she shot him following him uncovering her dark secret - that she killed his dad, James.

But Emma will contemplate taking her own life in a shocking twist in tonight's episode, as viewers will see her standing on the viaduct.

In a sneak preview on Lorraine earlier today, a clip was shown ahead of tonight's episode which showed Emma talking to the ghost of her son Finn and apologising for everything she'd done.

She then turned back to the sheer drop and said that she would need to pray - but she looked pretty determined...

Does this mean that Emma will FINALLY get her comeuppance?!
