Glad tidings! Our favourite Dales boys, Aaron and Robert, WILL be getting hitched…..yep, we know they’re barely speaking to eachother right now!

Their relationship has been through more ups and downs than the Yorkshire Dales. On? Off? Make up and break up, the tempestuous couple we’ve come to love as Robron, seem to spend half their time at war with eachother.

However we have good news, producer Iain MacLeod promises an exciting future for the twosome and has revealed that Christmas in Emmerdale is set to be a cracker, with the boys being the focus of the festive season.

He told Inside Soap, “Right now, Robert and Aaron are at the opposite ends of a long piece of elastic that is stretched pretty tight – but the events of Christmas and new year will bring them back together.” Whoop whoop!

So what state can we expect Robron to be in this Yule? Iain teases, “There’s a big episode on Christmas Day that is more or less a ‘Robron’ single strander. It’s probably the weirdest episode we’ve ever done and the one I’ve been most nervous about since I started on the show. It’s stylistically a bit weird, romantic, dramatic and entertaining, plus, it has a surprise cameo in it”.

Ooh Iain, what a tease! We’re intrigued! So it looks as if the Dales folks will be putting on their finery and dusting off their fascinators to see the boys walk down the aisle…but not for a while. The Big Day is expected to take place next summer. Patience everyone, patience…
