If there's a Generation Game-size hole in your Saturday nights, you're in luck, as everyone's favourite family game show is coming back... with The Great British Bake Off's Mel and Sue as hosts!
From The Crystal Maze to Blind Date, loads of our favourite retro TV shows have returned to our tellies recently, and we couldn't be happier.
And now The Generation Game is coming back to our screens with our favourite funny ladies, Mel and Sue, as hosts!
WATCH: Take a trip down memory lane and watch Brucie hosting The Generation Game back in 1990... oh how times have changed!
The Generation Show first hit British screens in 1971, and has had five different hosts to date; Bruce Forstyh - the original host, who also returned for a stint in the early '90s - Larry Grayson, Jim Davidson, and Vernon Kay and Graham Norton - who both hosted special one-off episodes.
The show's been off-air since 2005, and Mel and Sue will be the first female hosts in the shows 40+ year history.
Earlier this month Sue Perkins - who along with her comedy partner Mel Giedroyc hosted The Great British Bake Off until it's Channel 4 takeover - hinted that the cheeky pair would be back on our TVs soon. Appearing on Radio 4's Dessert Island Discs, she told Kirsty Young: ""I'm very hopeful Mel and I will do some pratting about, but I couldn't tell you exactly what yet. Possibly some prime-time pratting,"
Announcing their new gig, Mel and Sue gushed: "It's a cuddly toy, it's a toaster, it's a circular power saw, no it's Mel and Sue doing the Generation Game! We can't believe it, we are so excited!"
Although BBC One are yet to announce exactly when The Generation Game will be back, they've confirmed it will initially be just a four-episode run.
We. Can't. Wait!
