Emmerdale viewers were left devastated when Moira Barton discovered her daughter Holly had passed away after a heroin overdose. In heart-breaking scenes which saw Moira attempt to wake her daughter up, viewers were left shocked when she discovered her daughter had relapsed and died.
Although we previously knew Sophie Powles (who played Holly) had filmed her last scenes, everyone was unaware how she would bow out of the show. And with the TV show bosses keeping the storyline under wraps until it was aired everyone was surprised.
And in scenes yet to air Emmerdale viewers should be prepared to face emotional scenes as the village say farewell to Holly at her funeral.
As Moira comes to terms that her daughter has died she looks around for support from her estranged husband Cain Dingle but can’t find him.
Has Cain really left the village with Charity?
