Emmerdale's Michael Parr has revealed all about his time in the makeup chair to create Ross Barton's acid attack scars
Ross Barton's acid attack in Emmerdale is possibly one of the most shocking storylines on TV in recent times.
Ross, played by Michael Parr, was attacked by drug dealer Simon in error after he took Debbie Dingle's instructions to "rough up" Joseph Tate a step too far - and got the wrong guy to boot.

Despite the shocking nature of the storyline, viewers have been impressed with both Michael's performance - and Ross' realistic scars from the attack.
Of course, it is of the utmost importance that the Emmerdale team make the storyline as realistic as possible, but doesn't that mean Michael sitting in the makeup chair for hours on end? Those scars look VERY realistic.
But Michael has opened up on Lorraine this morning about the process of recreating them every single day - and it turns out we were VERY mistaken!
He told Lorraine: "It only takes an hour! It is so realistic. We’ve always got pictures of real victims to make it accurate as possible," before adding: "We have to tell as realistic a story as possible."

Michael, who has starred in Emmerdale as Ross since July 2013, went on to state the importance of doing the storyline justice.
He said: "I asked for a story that had never been done before in soap, which is the hardest job.
"‘The producer pitched it and when he told me how tasteful we were going to do it, I was in."
He added of his character, who will attempt suicide in upcoming scenes: "He was someone who was almost arrogant with his looks, was confident with women, now it’s completely diminished.
"That’s the reality of what the less fortunate go through."
