Emmerdale Spoilers: Carly Hope’s ex Matt will arrive in the village next week

There's a newcomer in Emmerdale next week when Carly Hope's ex Matt arrives - but what does this mean for her romance with Marlon Dingle?

Another chapter of Carly Hope's past is revealed in Emmerdale next week, when her ex-boyfriend Matt arrives in the village. Will Marlon Dingle suddenly have a love rival to deal with? Carly is left reeling when she comes face to face with the blast from the past in the Woolpack. But what is Matt doing there and what does he want?

Well, it turns out that Matt is angry because Carly didn't tell him about their baby, Billy, dying. A shaken Carly insists she didn't tell him because he'd walked out on them.

Fair enough, the problem is Marlon has picked this very day and this very spot to pop the question to Carly. He arrives right in the middle of the emotional reunion. Sensing Carly's distress, Marlon drags Matt out of the pub.

Matt responds by punching Marlon - great first impressions there - which leaves Carly feeling even worse.

So, are will Marlon still propose? Are there still feelings between Carly and Matt? And which female villager already has Matt in her sights?
