Emmerdale's Cain Dingle and Harriet Finch have been enjoying a secret romance - but it won't stay secret for long
They are probably soap's most unlikely couple since Corrie's Tina hooked up with Peter Barlow (yeah, that really happened), but there's no denying the chemistry between Emmerdale's resident bad boy, Cain Dingle, and vicar, Harriet Finch, is sizzling. So far, they've managed to keep their romance a secret, but - as we all know - nothing stays secret in Soap Land for long.
Laurel Thomas, who recently lost her husband Ashley to dementia, caught the pair having a passionate snog when she popped into the church for a chat with Harriet last night (Tuesday).
Poor Laurel was visibly shocked at the PDA and crept out of the church.
But will she keep their secret - or will she blab to the rest of the village?
If the affair become public knowledge, it wouldn't be great for Harriet's career.
Jeff Hordly, who plays Cain, said of the unlikely relationship: "When I first heard it was going to be the vicar I thought it was an odd coupling but when the scripts came, you could see the dynamic between them.
"It really works and it’s quite fun and it’s quite cheeky and I think it’s an interesting dalliance."
