Paddy Kirk said an X-rated joke on Emmerdale last night and fans found it hilarious

Emmerdale viewers probably spat their tea out after hearing Paddy Kirk's x-rated joke on the show last night.

Fans of the show were over the moon when Paddy and Chas Dingle finally decided to give their relationship another go. Later on in the Woolpack, the happy couple welcomed home Aaron who just got back from France. After Paddy asked him how his trip was, Aaron replied "Yeah it was good, what about you? What's new with you?"

Paddy then said: "You know still beating off... beautiful women, with a stick, the usual."

While Chas stood their blushing, the joke didn't go unnoticed by viewers and many took to Twitter to point out that the masturbation reference happened before the 9pm watershed.

One person wrote: "I just heard beating off on #emmerdale at 19.22pm. Pretty watershed! @Ofcom 😂"

Someone else commented: "Paddy: 'still beating off...beautiful women' 😂 oh Paddy you dirty boy 😂 #emmerdale"
