Emmerdale has kept all their viewers on the edge of their seats this week and in last night’s episode a beloved Emmerdale resident died – Emma and James Barton’s cat.
Emmerdale fans will know that after finding out that her husband James was unfaithful to her with Moira, Emma didn’t take his betrayel too well. Who would?
While James has been resting from his leg injury Emma has been poisoning him with Morphine to keep him housebound.
James wanted to attend his niece – Holly Barton’s – funeral however James overheard Emma telling Pete Barton that he was asleep.
And after noticing something was off James gave his food to the cat which was when he discovered that she had been drugging him when the poor cat didn’t wake up.
Eek!
Emmerdale have dedicated this storyline to the horror film Misery where Emma “goes off the rails” and viewers have seen Emma pretend to call the ambulance after James injured his leg AGAIN.
But it seems that viewers were more upset about the cat.

With Emmerdale's Big Week starting on Monday 17 and at least one character dying next week we’re excited to see where this storyline heads...
