Just when Ben Mitchell tries to move on from the brutal death of his beloved boyfriend – Paul Coker – his mum Kathy manages to throw a big spanner in the works.
Following a heartbreaking sort out of his ex-boyfriend's room accompanied by Pam Coker, Ben plans to make positive plans for his future.
In a bid to focus on the future (and save his father’s life), Ben starts to try and speed up the process of being the live liver donor for Phil Mitchell – who’s liver is deteriorating day by day after he was diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver.
But at a routine check-up at the hospital, Ben is taken aback when his mum shows up to the consolation, where she tries her hardest to convince her son not to go through with the risky procedure.
She even reveals to medics about the horrendous time Ben has been through lately, with Paul’s murder, Jay leaving and his kidnapping ordeal all her big concerns.
Understandably livid, Ben goes off on one as they arrive back in Walford.
Could Kathy’s actions put the transplant at risk? Will Phil even survive the waiting time? We’ll have to wait and see…
