It will definitely not be wedded bliss for EastEnders' couple Whitney and Lee Carter this Christmas as Lee's mental state continues to spiral out of control.
From financial problems to spiralling back into a familiar dark place of depression - Lee has been telling his loved ones lie after lie after lie this year.
EastEnders delivered an almighty twist last month that saw Lee Carter plan a robbery on his family home, the Queen Vic, that saw burglars (who were in fact Lee's work colleague) demanding money, attacking Johnny and threatening to kidnap and hurt baby Ollie - will he be able to deal with his guilt much longer?
And with his family seemingly unaware of his huge secrets (at the moment), Lee tries his best to put on a brave front this Christmas and plans to enjoy a 'happy' day surrounded by his loved ones.
However, things soon change when Whitney drops a HUGE bombshell on her husband over the festive period.
But what could Whitney be about to tell him? Will she want to move away from Walford? Has she found something out about Lee's lies? Could he be expecting a baby again?
EastEnders bosses are keeping extremely quiet about Whitney and Lee's Christmas storyline so you're just going to have to be patience and watch it be played out on screen.
A happy ending for Lee and Whitney is looking less likely by the day, but how long will it take for Whitney to realise?
Viewers already know that actor Danny-Boy Hatchard will be leaving the soap in the near future - so will we be saying goodbye to him at Christmas or New Year? And under what circumstances?
Opening up to RadioTimes about his harrowing storyline, Danny said:
"His depression is going to escalate, and it's a hard-hitting thing for people to watch. I've had people writing to me saying that the storyline has been unbearable. But that means we're doing our job properly."
