And it has been revealed that another character will make a return later this year – Sonia's husband, Martin Folwer.
But he won't be as fans remember him as a new actor has been cast to play the character.
James Alexandrou played Martin from 1996-2007, but now newbie James Bye will takeover.
Executive producer Dominic Treadwell-Collins told a UK newspaper: "With James Alexandrou's blessing – something which was very important to us – we have recast everyman Martin Folwer after extensive auditions.
"Martin is an original – the first baby born on the Square as part of the show's roots - and, as we celebrate 30 years on Albert Square, it's important to look backwards as we move forwards."

His return could cause upset for wife Sonia and Tina Carter, who have been growing closer. A show source said: "As well as reconnecting with the familiar faces of Albert Square, Martin is sure to upset a few news ones with his direct approach.
"It's no secret that his marriage to Sonia has been slowly deteriorating and with his estranged wife seeking solace with Tina, surely it's only a matter of time before secrets spill."
