EastEnders legend Phil Mitchell is back in Walford tonight and will come face to face with ex, Lisa Fowler
To say we were a little bit excited about Phil Mitchell making a tiny appearance in last night's (Monday's) EastEnders, is a bit of an understatement. We've been hoping for MONTHS that he would come back and sort those horrible bullies out once and for all. And it looks like our wish is about to come true as Phil arrives in Walford tonight to see daughter, Louise, who was involved in a horrific accident at the school prom. Phil's return means he'll come face to face with his ex Lisa, who once tried to SHOOT him!
Lisa rushed to Louise's bedside when she made a surprise reappearance last Friday and it looks like there will be fireworks when the former couple come face to face tonight.
Lucy Benjamin, who plays Lisa, has teased about what will happen. She said: "There’s always going to be drama when Lisa is anywhere near Phil. There’s going to be fireworks.
"Phil isn’t Lisa’s favourite person in the world to be around. I think he’s a trigger for lots of things going wrong for Lisa. He’s not the sort of person that she needs to be around. But in true Lisa and Phil fashion, it will be quite explosive."
She added: "I don't think Phil and Lisa can ever be the best of friends or see eye-to-eye, but for the sake of their child, they should be grown-ups."
Louise has been living with the Mitchells since early last year after Phil tracked her down when he believed he was dying from cirrhosis of the liver.
Former 'Enders boss Sean O'Connor previously teased that Phil would be a changed man on his return.
He told Metro.co.uk: "His days of being a hard man are coming to an end and he has had a real wake-up call after the transplant.
"He knows that he has a second chance now and it’s given him food for thought. Has he had a good life? Can he right the wrongs of the past? And even if he wants to, does he have the time to do it?"
Catch Phil's return to Walford on BBC One at 7.30pm.
