As many fans of the BBC soap will have heard, there have been some rumours going around that Ben Mitchell is going to be killed off.

In episodes set to air next week (18 July), Phil Mitchell and Ian Beale receive a shock phone call from the hospital to tell them Ben has been involved in a potentially life-threatening incident.

However, as many viewers will know Johnny Labey – who plays Ben’s boyfriend Paul Coker – is soon to exit the show.

And recently Pam Coker (Lin Blakley) – Paul’s grandmother – revealed that his exit will be rather dramatic.

Speaking to Inside Soap, she said: "I would imagine it's going to be hell for Paul's boyfriend Ben, whatever happens, and I am sure there will be a few gasps from the audience who'll think, 'My gosh, I didn't see that coming!'"

Which got us thinking, what could Paul’s dramatic exit storyline be?

Well, as regular viewers know, Paul’s mum Jenny has recently arrived on Albert Square hoping to get back in touch with her son.

When she first arrived we saw Pam warn her to leave, so Jenny must have done something very wrong to upset the kind-hearted flower stallholder.

However, she decided to stick around, and has currently been stalking Paul – and last night (12 July) the pair came face to face.

What happened 20 years ago that Pam blames her for?

Well we have a feeling that Ben’s accident might have something to do with Jenny, and this leads to Paul's exit from Walford.

Is Paul going to head off with his mum – and will it be out of will?

Or is Paul going to chase after his mum, who's just killed his boyfriend?

We’ll have to wait and see.

What do you think Jenny did that was so bad?
