Market trader Kush Kazemi will arrive in Walford next week and it's fair to say he's a bit of a ladies man.
HOW WILL JACQUELINE JOSSA'S PREGNANCY AFFECT EASTENDERS' LAUREN BRANNING?
Davood Ghadami, who plays Kush, describes him as 'a bit of an Essex boy', and says: "He manages to ruffle a few feathers very early on. He is genuinely a nice guy though and he wants to get on with people."
Kush will no doubt instantly rub Shabnam up the wrong way. Davood told the Radio Times his character: "isn't completely compatible with Shabnam's and early on that comes through.
"He doesn't see it as a bad thing though and kind of enjoys it. He likes to speak his mind which isn't always appreciated."
Something which Shabnam doesn't appreciate is Kush's flirty way towards her, but could she grow to like it?

Davood said: "I think he fancies Shabnam – he probably fancies a lot of the ladies, to be honest. Some characters enjoy it, but some don't enjoy it so much and I think Shabnam is one of those."
Almost immediately after arriving on the Square, Kush somehow ends up naked save a pumpkin covering his modesty – in the middle of the market.
On filming that scene, Davood said: "That was very surreal, but it works with the character. It's done for a good reason and it works very well and is very relevant."
And, just like all new characters, Kush has a bit of a backstory, but we won't find anything out for a while – although he and Sonia have history.
"He knows Sonia through Martin," Davood revealed. "It's a nice sway of making a connection to existing characters in the show. It's a while before we find out too much about his past though."
