No one quite knew where to look when Mick Carter finally made a move on Whitney Dean in EastEnders
It's been on the cards for a long time but tonight was the night that EastEnders pub landlord, Mick Carter, made a move on his soon-to-be-ex daughter-in-law, Whitney Dean. The pair have shared two kisses before, both instigated by Whitney, but this was the first time Mick has put the moves on her. And let's just say the kiss didn't go down well with fans!
Twitter exploded with a mixture of fury and disbelief as viewers watched Mick cheat on his beloved wife, Linda, with Whitney, who's still married to their son, Lee. Erm, it's a bit Max and Stacey, innit?
Mick is currently angry at Linda for going behind his back and selling the pub freehold. But he seemed to put his fury behind him as he apologised to the rest of the family for his recent behaviour.
Fans knew something was about to kick off when Mick asked for a word with Whitney. 'Not 'ere, let's go upstairs,' he said. He then apologised to her for letting her down when she needed him.
A tearful Whitney told him that he couldn't fix everybody, before storming off to her bedroom.
Later, she knocked on Mick's bedroom door and told him she didn't know who she was anymore. Mick went into one about how special she is: "You're Whitney," he told her. "Who lights up the room, always laughing, you're a fighter, you're kind, you're generous.
"When I was away, I was thinking about you. I couldn't get you out of my head. I missed you."
And then it happened. The one thing fans have been dreading since he didn't pull away from that hospital snog quite as quick as he should have - HE kissed HER - and hearts everywhere broke.
Not only that but he kissed her in an open doorway where literally anyone could have seen them. Wonder where things will go from here...NB - Whitney has now snogged all the Carter males. Classy.
