EastEnders fans are in for a treat as boss reveals dramatic showdown episode for Linda Carter's return
They haven't done anything except share a sneaky snog - yet - but Mick and Whitney are set to be on the receiving end of Linda's wrath when she returns to the Square in the coming weeks. Linda has been in Watford caring for her ailing mum while actress Kellie Bright has been on maternity leave. But since she's been gone, hubby Mick and daughter-in-law, Whitney, have got a bit too close.
Friday's episode showed the pair cuddling up, while Whitney pleaded with Mick to never leave her again. They kissed after the bus crash earlier this year, and Denise Fox saw the whole thing.
EastEnders boss, Sean O'Connor, told Metro.co.uk: "She (Whitney) has some huge episodes to come- including a showdown with Mick and Linda in the pipeline which will be a Carter three hander where all of the emotions of the past few months will come crashing into the heart of the Square.”
He promised fans that it would be really exciting. Fans aren't convinced though and took to Twitter to air their disappointment in Mick and Whitney's tender moment on Friday.
One fan even described the scene as 'weird' because Mick was so devoted to Linda.
Another added that Whit was just a 'desperate tramp' - the barmaid certainly bore the brunt of the fans' anger.
One told her to grow up and stop trying to get attention from Mick. Gulp.
It's certainly going to be an interesting few weeks in Walford, especially if they end up having a full-blown affair!
