It seems as if the Beale family is set to get even bigger this summer, as Christian Clarke is heading back to Albert Square.

And he’s not the only one; Jane’s mum is coming too!

Yup, John Partridge and Lynda Baron will be returning briefly to Walford later this year as part of an explosive storyline involving the Beale family.

Bosses are staying tight-lipped on the details surrounding their return, but the shocking storyline is set to change the Beale family forever…

Anyone else reckon it might have something to do with the fact that Bobby Beale is still running around scot-free after bumping off his beloved sister, Lucy (Hetti Bywater)?

After all, we know that Max Branning (Jake Wood) is due to return to Walford later this year - and he’s currently in prison after being wrongly found guilty of her murder.

We guess that Bobby is going to have to come clean at some point in order for Max’s innocence to be confirmed.

Could Jane, who covered up her adopted son’s crimes, be rallying her family around her during what is sure to be a very difficult time?

Christian and was last seen in the Square back in 2015 when he attended the wedding of Ian and Jane as part of the 30th anniversary live week.

On his return, John Partridge said: “I am thrilled to be able to return to EastEnders whilst touring the UK with Chicago…

“Christian is never far from my mind - I turn my back for five minutes and look what happens!"

Jane’s mother, Linda, has not been seen on screen since February 2009 when she moved to Florida with her husband, Roger.

Christian and Linda will return early this summer. We really wish they’d bring Syed Masood with them…
