Ben Mitchell and Jay Brown are set to get into a huge fight in an upcoming episode of EastEnders.

Following Phil Mitchell’s (Steve McFadden) shock revelation that Jay’s (Jamie Borthwick) biological father Jase Dyer (Stephen Lord) was killed by Phil, Jay distances himself from the Mitchell family, leaving Ben frustrated.

Jay angers Ben when he suggests they are no longer brothers and a fight breaks out between the pair, which could prompt Jay’s relationship with the Mitchells to sour.

It was previously thought Jase was brutally murdered by gang leader Terry Raymond (Gavin Richards) in 2008 and, while he was being killed by the thugs, his friend Billy Mitchell (Perry Fenwick) was too scared to help as he sat and watched.

Billy’s fellow Albert Square residents later found out what had happened but he made things better with Jay by testifying against Terry in court which led to his life imprisonment.

Phil has been acting strangely lately and he caused a division within his family when son Ben learned mechanics business The Arches, which Phil gave to him, is worth less than the car lot, which he gave to Jay.

The situation will darken when Jay finds out his inheritance is more than that of Phil’s biological son Ben, which leads to him to make the shocking revelation that it was him who killed Jay’s dad.

Jay’s world then crumbles around him as Phil explains how and why the murder happened, with Jay struggling to understand Phil’s actions.

He then goes on the question his past life and comes to the devastating realisation of what exactly Phil did, leaving things very tense between the three men.

This episode airs on BBC One on Thursday 24 August at 7.30pm.
