Just as we were coming to terms with Ronnie and Roxie Mitchell leaving the show, EastEnders producers have released a preview video about what fans should expect from their upcoming disaster week.

Over the years, we’ve seen fairgrounds collapsing and the pub in flames, but it looks like this could be the most dramatic thing that has happened in the Square – ever!

The Walford locals might even have to find a new boozer if this clip is anything to go by, as it looks like the iconic Queen Vic could be in a lot of trouble.

The video shows the inside of the pub, shaking and crumbling, with the legendary Queen Victoria bust cracking into hundreds of pieces.

On Monday, things start off like any other day in the East End, but when the council inform the market workers that the site is to be moved, Martin Fowler attempts to encourage the other stall holders to go on strike.

From there things are set to go from bad to worse as we have learnt that there will be a huge bus crash, as images of the set leaked and you can see ambulances and fire trucks rammed into the Square.

It’s going to result in some very dire consequences for the residents of Walford.

The dramatic events are set to take place in the same day, which explains why Mick got his birthday wrong last week.

Fans took to social media to express their confusion, but a source told Digital Spy: "Next week sees disaster strike in Walford, and these episodes all take place over one day, so in order for events to be played out in this way, other moments need to be moved slightly for story purposes.”

Will we be losing some of our beloved E20 characters?

It was revealed that Aunt Babe and Jay Brown were at the top of the cast list for the first two episodes next week, which usually means that it is that character’s last scene – could this mean the end for them?

Lee Carter, played by Danny-Boy Hatchard, is also rumoured to be leaving the soap – is this how he bows out?

We’ll be tuning in next week to find out exactly what happens in Albert Square!
